Waste Heat
Waste heat is heat rejected from devices such as boilers, air conditioners and refrigeration systems in –
- large air conditioned buildings such as shopping centres and hotels
- commercial and office buildings
- hospitals, airports, ships
and is also the by-product of
- manufacturing and processing of food
- industrial processes - such as steel manufacture, glass blowing, petroleum cracking, etc.
- internal combustion engines
- production of electricity
The by-products from these products are expelled into the atmosphere where they add to global warming.
At this stage, Theodoma technology is being introduced into areas where it will have most impact, ie.
- industrial and other buildings where energy usage is high
- shopping centres, hotels, commercial buildings, airports
- sites equipped with chillers which are engaged in the processing and storage of fresh and frozen produce.
